Another very popular Czech dish, and don't be fooled by the name. This is a beef roulade consisting of a slice of fine beef steak rolled around a sections of egg, pickle, carrot, apple wood bacon and sausage. The roulade is pan seared, then deglazed with beef stock to make a light and flavorful sauce. The roulade is plated whole with Czech potato dumplings on the side. Some people like to keep the birds whole on the plate, while others plate the meat sliced, showing the colorful insides. It is really just a matter of personal preference.
Menu options
1. Chlebicky - The Classic Czech Party Sandwich - Slices of baguette bread spread with apple salad and topped with ham, pepperoni, and cheese. These party favorites are elaborately decorated with condiments of sliced tomato, pickles and fresh herbs.
2. Spanish Birds -Španělské Ptáčky - slice of fine beef steak rolled around a sections of egg, pickle, and bacon or sausage. The roulade is pan seared, then deglazed with wine and beef stock to make a light and flavorful sauce. The roulade is plated whole with Czech potato dumplings on the side.
3. Bohemian Donuts - Silky smooth fried butter dough filled or topped with various creams, fruit jelly and sugar
4. Oven Fresh Apple Strudel - This is simply the best known baked product from Europe, and for good reason. Juicy Gala Apples, Golden Raisins nestled in a European pastry crust, baked golden brown. European classic!
