About the Event
Music School CAMPANELLA Olomouc was established in 2012 thanks to more than
50year tradition of the Campanella choir, which is one of the leading children’s
choirs in the Czech Republic. In addition to choral singing, we also offer education
for a total of 350 pupils and students in solo singing, piano playing and wind
instruments.
Choral education at ZUŠ CAMPANELLA is a well-functioning organism, which
includes four age-different and, depending on age, qualitatively differentiated
choirs, which have their own designation for easier orientation: Broučci, Berunky,
Mladší Campanella and Campanella - the main representative choir.
During its existence, the Campanella Choir has performed more than two thousand
concert performances on almost 200 concert tours to 41 countries in Europe, Asia,
Africa and America. The statistical numbers are eloquent, although they are not
able to tell about the responses that the Olomouc congregation has provoked
around the world. Between 1990 and 2010, on average, more than a dozen foreign
tours took place each year of the choir’s activities. The quality of the choir’s artistic
performances is evidenced by the responses full of superlatives.
Campanella has undergone a generational change in the last decade and is currently
building on the success of the choir at the turn of the century. CAMPANELLA has
decided to follow up choir’s success abroad and its next aim is a concert tour in
the USA in 2022
