Czech Cabbage Soup (Zelnečka)
This is a very popular Czech soup made mostly of cabbage, caramelized onions, smoked pork, kielbasa and herbs. The cabbage that is used is actually fermented cabbage or sauerkraut, this gives the soup it’s slight tangy taste that is quite unique. Very delicious!
Czech Potato Soup (Bramboračka)
Another favorite Czech Soup made prepared with organic vegetable broth, potatoes, onion, garlic, leeks, celery root, carrots, dried mushrooms and fresh herbs.
Open Faced Party Sandwich (chlebíčky)
Czech "Chlebíčky" are small, open-face sandwiches, served at parties as a hors d'oeuvre or appetizer. Thin slices of baguette are covered with various spreads (cream cheese, salmon or potato salad, etc), and topped with various toppings (capers, slice of pickle, deviled eggs, brie, mozzarella, tomatoes, pepperoni, salmon, ham, etc.)
Our classic Chlebíčky are made from fresh baked bread, topped with either potato salad or vlasak salad with your choice of ham, pepperoni, turkey or cured capicola. Garnished with a tomato slice, egg slice and pickle and finished with a dusting of grated cheese.
